Assisted Living Guidance in Oregon

Assisted living can be a good fit when someone needs more day-to-day support than they can comfortably manage at home. Hope in Motion Project helps Oregon families prepare for that search.

How we help with assisted living questions

Choosing assisted living usually involves more than finding a nearby building. Families often need to compare location, daily support, medication reminders, meals, transportation, cost questions, timing, and whether a community can safely support the person's needs.

Hope in Motion Project helps you organize those questions before you speak with providers. We do not decide medical eligibility, guarantee admission, or confirm openings. Providers must confirm their own availability, services, pricing, and license status.

What to share

City or ZIP code, timing, mobility needs, support with bathing or dressing, medication reminders, meals, budget/payment questions, and important preferences.

What to ask providers

Ask about staffing, care level changes, medication support, apartment options, move-in requirements, current openings, fees, and discharge or transfer policies.

Assisted living is not the only option

Depending on needs and preferences, families may also consider retirement living, memory care, adult foster care, in-home care, or hospice support. If you are unsure which category fits, the callback request can start with "not sure" and the care team can discuss the situation.

Start with a short request

The short request form asks only for contact information, where care is needed in Oregon, and your timing. You can continue into the full assessment afterward if you want to share more detail before the care team follows up.
